Business Victoria is a not-for-profit association with the goal of helping people from all walks of life create a sustainable future for themselves.
If you’re thinking about starting a business or already self-employed, be part of our community.
Business Victoria has been a not for profit for 20 years and has helped set-up more than 2,500 businesses. See some of the businesses weve helped start-up.
Our staff have been there and done it, had both business success and business failure, and will give you not only expert tuition but also the benefit of their experiences. As a community organisation, we also invite guest speakers from the local business sector to provide guidance and expertise.
We offer two programs to help participants develop their business acumen and entrepreneurial skills:
Business Victoria is also a community partner of CYBF (Canadian Youth Business Foundation), assisting with securing loan financing, mentoring and offering participants some workshops at no cost. If you’re under 39 years of age and starting a business – get in touch.
Seminars and workshops
In addition to our programs, we offer an extensive range of seminars and workshops to help you develop your knowledge. Topics range from effectively using social media and the importance of good graphic design to intellectual property and regulatory requirements.
If you’re not yet sure if you want to sign up for the full Firestarter program, we also offer a Business Essentials workshop with free mentoring. This workshop gives you the ‘business 101’ about how to get started in creating a new future.
When you attend a Business Victoria event you not only get business expertise, you also get the opportunity to meet other people that are starting businesses.
Attendees have found this experience very rewarding and joining an entrepreneurial community is one of the best reasons to become involved with Business Victoria.
